THE END IS NEAR.
According to Adam Stern from the SportsBusiness Journal, the long drawn out decision as to who will replace Kurt Busch in the #41 car in 2019 is almost over.
.@StewartHaasRcng's No. 41 car driver announcement is likely to come early next week, per a person familiar.
➖ As has long been reported, it is still expected to be @Daniel_SuarezG.

And exactly who he and everyone one else has been saying it will be for months. Daniel Suarez who was displaced from his #19 Joe Gibbs Racing Camry will join Stewart-Haas Racing in 2019. Martin Truex Jr. will replace Suarez in the #19 next season in case you somehow missed that bit of news.
According to Stern the #41 will sport the Arris colors at some point in 2019. Details on how many races they will sponsor and who the other sponsors will be are TBD.
For Suarez, a fresh start is likely what his career needs. After winning the 2016 Xfinity Series Championship he was thrust into the #19 replacing Carl Edwards after his surprise retirement. In 2017 Suarez did what you would expect him to do, 12 Top-10 finishes and a 16.2 average finish. In 2018 he marked down 3 Top-5 finishes but scored three less Top-10 finishes and his average finish dropped to 18.5. He suffered from the dreaded sophomore slump.
Suarez can drive and maybe the SHR move is just what he needs. Look at it his move like Logano’s move from JGR to Penske.
