STATESVILLE, N.C. (September 25, 2018)- Nearly clinching the 2018 ARCA Racing Series championship with two races remaining in the season, Sheldon Creed will climb behind the wheel of the No. 28 Chevrolet Silverado for the remaining four races of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season with GMS Racing, starting at Martinsville Speedway.

Additional information for Creed and the No. 28 GMS Racing team will be announced at a later date.

Creed will be in the truck for Martinsville, Texas, Phoenix and the finale at Homestead. Currently, Creed has two final races in theĀ ARCA season to complete. When Creed starts the next ARCA race at LORP he will win the Championship with a race to go. The ARCA season concludes their season at Kansas on October 19th.

Not only is Creed the next ARCA Series Champion he is also a gold medal winner in rallycross at the X-Games. He has three previous truck series starts all coming at Eldora. Creed has two Xfinity series starts in 2017 at the road courses for Johnny Davis.

One part of the press release was the final line. “Additional information for Creed and the No. 28 GMS Racing team will be announced at a later date.”

Previous to this announcement the #28 GMS Racing team didn’t exist. That sentence seems to insinuate Creed and GMS will have more news to announce in the future. Potentially a full NASCAR Truck Series schedule in 2019. Stay tuned for more information.
