Scott McLaughlin Puts It On Pole At Bathurst After This Flat Out Lap In Qualifying

V8 Supercar star Scott McLaughlin put in one of the purest driving laps in the history of racing Saturday during qualifying for the Bathurst 1000. McLaughlin his DJR Team Penske Ford laid down a 2:03 lap, the first sub 2:04 lap in the history of the Bathurst 100. An absolutely staggering lap that looked so perfect when you watch the lap. Only one time did he put a tire wrong and not even that could stop him as he made his descent down Mount Panorama.

The Bathurst 1000 is one of the best races in the world and one that unfortunately isn’t shown in America because American’s are stupid and can’t deal with a time difference. McLaughlin and his Team Penske machine are the odds-on favorites to win, maybe there could be an upset like last year. Anything can happen in the Bathurst 1000.

“It’s a place where Ford and Holden fans get together to fight and at some point, a race breaks out”
