Michael McDowell Calls Out Chase Elliott, Fans React Accordingly

Chase Elliott has been sold to everyone as the next superstar, a can’t miss, the Peyton Manning of this new young NASCAR class. So far he’s been increasingly mediocre when it comes to closing the deal. Michael McDowell is kind of forgotten about on the NASCAR scene purely because of the equipment he is in, not because of his talent.

Saturday night in Daytona McDowell got into Chase and sent the #24 spinning and Chase was fired up on the radio. Said McDowell couldn’t put a wood screw through shit. Whatever in the fuck that means. McDowell wasn’t even responsible for the crash though, Kasey Kahne was. Chase’s teammate moved down into the #95 who got the #24 and the caution came out. Chase fired away on the radio about how bad McDowell is forgetting that in his 7 restrictor plate races in Cup a solid 5 of them have resulted in the entire field complaining about his driving.

McDowell took to Twitter to say Chase wrecks himself. Not completely wrong, and it was awesome to see a driver call someone else out. The mentions in that tweet though are what you would expect. Chase Elliott inherited a lot of Jeff Gordon fans so his fan base is massive. They’re vocal and dumb;

George Stewman is a dumb person. Chase Elliott has been in A+ equipment his entire career and he has 5 Xfinity wins and 2 Truck wins to show for it. McDowell has been in sub sub par equipment, of course Chase has better results. McDowell got in a good Xfinity car last year and put it in victory lane. Meanwhile Chase has 5 wins in JR Motorsports equipment. Not the most impressive thing from a “generational” talent. Numbers do lie in NASCAR, especially comparing Hendrick equipment to Leavine Family Racing equipment.

Chase Elliott fans are delusional. Like the new JR Nation and honestly I can’t wait for this. A legion of Bedgood’s just chomping at the bit like Jaws to attack someone.
