This isn’t something anyone ever wants to report on, especially not when it happens to a really well respected and nice guy. Hayden forged a tough road to the World Championship in a sport where American’s are generally overlooked. In 2006 the Kentucky Kid bettered Valentino Rossi for his first and only title. He now races for Red Bull Honda in WSBK and returned to the top of the podium last season in Malaysia.
Usually try to keep it pretty light over here. Can’t today, super bummed something like this happened to a nice guy. Nicky Hayden and the Hayden family have done for motorcycle racing in America than anyone. Just a guy from the OWB who made it on the worlds largest stage. Hopefully he can over come this and get back on a bike, one thing these guys always talk about is how they want to leave on their own terms and not have it decided for them. Above racing though hopefully he’s just ok.
